Privacy Policy

Who I am

Modern Rugged Media is Bronze Denison, a full stack developer based in Roswell, Georgia, US. I build websites and custom software for businesses. When this policy says “I” or “me,” that’s who it means.

This policy covers modernrugged.media: its public pages and its contact form. If you have a question about anything here, email me at [email protected] or use the contact page.

What the contact form collects

When you send a message through the contact form, I receive what you type:

• Your name and email address (required), so I know who you are and where to reply.
• Your company and current website (both optional), which help me understand your business before we talk.
• What you need (the topic you pick) and your message.

The form also sends two small technical values. One is the time the page loaded, used only to screen out automated spam; it isn’t included in the email I receive. The other is the address of the page you sent the form from, which the email includes along with the time your message arrived. The email does not include your IP address or details about your browser. There’s also a hidden field that people never see: if a bot fills it in, the submission is quietly discarded.

I use this information to read your inquiry and reply to you, to talk through the work you’re asking about, and to keep an ordinary record of business correspondence. That’s all.

If you email me directly instead, I receive whatever you put in your email, and I handle it the same way.

How your message reaches me

When you press send, the form’s contents go to a small server function hosted on Cloudflare. That function hands the message to Resend, an email delivery service, which sends it as an email to [email protected]. Mail to that address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to my inbox, which Google hosts (Gmail). Your email address is set as the reply-to address, so my answer comes straight back to you.

Nothing from the form is saved to a database or kept on this website. The email in my inbox is the only copy I keep.

How long I keep it

Messages stay in my inbox for as long as I need them to respond to you and to keep ordinary business records. If you’d like yours deleted, ask, and I’ll delete it (see your choices).

What I don’t do

• I never sell your information.
• I don’t run advertising on this site, and I don’t use your information for ads.
• I don’t use analytics, tracking pixels, or any other tool that follows you around the web.

Cookies and local storage

This website doesn’t set any cookies of its own.

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to challenge traffic that looks suspicious, for example to check that a visitor is a real person.

When you use the light and dark theme switch, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name mr-theme. The Griswold Route road trip page has its own switch, which saves its choice under griswold-theme. Each holds only the word “light” or “dark,” stays on your device, and is never sent to me. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Services that handle data

A few outside services make this site work. Each one handles a small amount of information to do its job, under its own privacy policy:

• Cloudflare

  Hosts this site and runs the contact form’s function. Like any web host, it sees your IP address and basic request details when your browser loads a page, and it may keep standard logs. Its Email Address Obfuscation feature adds a small script that decodes the email links on these pages, which keeps the address hidden from spam harvesters. • Google Fonts and Fontshare

  Supply the typefaces this site uses. When your browser downloads a font, the font service receives your IP address, as it would with any web request. Google Fonts privacy FAQ and Fontshare.

• Resend

  Delivers contact-form messages to my inbox. Resend’s privacy policy.

• Google (Gmail)

  Hosts the inbox where contact-form messages and emails to me arrive. Google’s privacy policy.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other websites, such as the companies compared in the hot sauce subscription guide and live projects in my portfolio. These are plain links, with no affiliate codes or tracking parameters. Once you follow one, you’re on someone else’s site, and its own privacy policy applies.

Private client portals

Some addresses on this domain host private client portals, internal tools and unlisted preview pages that aren’t part of the public site. Client portals are handled under my agreement with that client; this policy covers the public pages and the contact form.

Children

This site is meant for businesses and isn’t directed at children. I don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent me their details, email me and I’ll delete them.

Your choices

• You don’t have to use the contact form. Emailing me directly works just as well.
• You can ask to see the messages you’ve sent me, or ask me to delete them. Email [email protected] from the address you used, and I’ll take care of it.
• You can remove any saved theme choice by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
• Depending on where you live, you may have other rights over your information. If you’d like to use them, email me.

Changes to this policy

If I change how this site handles information, I’ll update this page and the effective date at the top.
